Invitation for 4 members to join the welcome reception, attended by candidates, their guests, the competition faculty, and RAD guests.

The LBC are delighted to offer a treat to 4 members only to join the opening reception of the THE FONTEYN International Ballet Competition, which is the RAD’s flagship competition, previously known as The Adeline Genée.
The Welcome Reception will take place at RAD headquarters.

The Royal Academy of Dance are delighted to welcome members of the London Ballet Circle for the Welcome Reception of The Margot Fonteyn International Ballet Competition 2024.
This reception is the first time the candidates of this year's competition will come together from across the globe, to meet each other and the faculty they'll be working with throughout the year. As well as opportunities to mingle and network over light refreshments, you will hear from key figures at the RAD, including CEO Tim Arthur, Artistic Director and Former Principal of The Royal Ballet, Alexander Campbell, and Producer of this year's competition, Lynn Wallis OBE.

Places will be allocated by a random free draw. To enter the draw, please send an email to [email protected] with your full name, email address and contact number by MIDNIGHT on Sunday 4 August.
The draw will take place on Monday 5 August. Winners will be notified on that same day . You will be notified that same day if you are a winner or a reserve. If you haven’t had a reply by Tuesday 6 August, then you should assume that have not been successful this time.
As a courtesy to all, we kindly request that you do not apply to enter the draw, if you have been a winner of a free ticket before. Please also be sure that you are free to attend and please keep the date free until the draw is complete. Thank you for your help with the ballot process.

THE FONTEYN
“This September, the RAD’s flagship competition returns to London. Formerly known as the Genée, the renamed Margot Fonteyn International Ballet Competition is a truly global event, providing candidates with a unique opportunity to train with world-class teachers and choreographers. Over eight days, London will play host to remarkable performances from some of the finest young dancers in the world today.”
The final is on Sunday 8 September 2024, at 7pm at His Majesty’s Theatre, Haymarket.
Semi-finals are held on 4-6 September at 10.30am in the Aud Jebsen Studio Theatre at RAD headquarters.
