Joseph is from Skegness on the east coast of Lincolnshire. He trained locally with his teachers Janice Sutton and Joy Everett whilst also attending weekly classes with the Royal Ballet Associate program in Covent Garden. At 16 Joseph began his full time professional training at Elmhurst Ballet School in association with Birmingham Royal Ballet.

Upon graduation Joseph joined Northern Ballet as an apprentice and has danced there for 12 years. During this time he consistently rose through the ranks of the company to become Premier Dancer in 2022. Performing works new and old by the likes of David Nixon, Kenneth MacMillan, Cathy Marston, Kenneth Tindall, Hans van Manen and Jean-Christophe Maillot to highlight a few.

Additionally he is very excited to be a part of the resurrection of London City Ballet this summer under the directorship of Christopher Marney where he is looking forward to expanding his repertoire and reaching new audiences.
