The Summer Performances for English National Ballet School will include the following pieces :
- Peter Schaufuss, the School’s Founder, will re-stage his ballet La Sylphide.
- Artistic Associate, Andrew McNicol, is creating a new piece for all first and second-year boys.
- Award-winning choreographer Morgann Runacre-Temple will create a piece for the 3rd year students.
- Former ENBS contemporary teacher and emerging choreographer Monique Jonas is creating a large group contemporary piece for the first- and second-year groups.
- The school are thrilled that the Balanchine Trust has kindly given permission to perform George Balanchine’s masterpiece Who Cares?
The current plan for the rehearsal visit is for members to watch rehearsals for La Sylphide, Andrew McNicol's new piece for all first and second-year boys, and Balanchine’s Who Cares?
A formal request to the Balanchine Trust has been sent, and the school is hopeful they will say yes for LBC members to watch the rehearsal with Deborah Wingert.
Tickets will be £15 for members and £20 for guests.
